The Sheldon Family Association will be conducting its Annual Meeting via Zoom on Saturday afternoon, September 25, 2021. It will begin at 3 PM EDT and will be available for login 15 mins prior. Invites will be sent to you via MailChimp to your email.
The call will start with the Business meeting and will include a report reviewing the past year, the outcome of the elections, and other such business brought to the Board’s attention. Following the Business Meeting, we will report out the results of our two days of work at the ACPL and have presentations on the progress of Sheldon genealogy, the Sheldon DNA project, a speaker from the ACPL who is an expert on English research, and a Q&A session.
Before the Annual Meeting, as implied above, many members of the Board and members of the research team will be gathering in Fort Wayne to visit the Allen County Public Library (ACPL). The SFA donated to the ACPL in 2014 a large volume of SFA records for safekeeping. Portions of those records will be placed online on the ACPL site. The group will spend two full days reviewing the records to prioritize the content on those files to be scanned. In addition, the Board will be having some workshops on the topics of policy, procedures, and planning. On Saturday morning, the Board will be having a Board Meeting.
Any member in good standing (dues paid at the gathering time is welcome to join us. You can participate in the workshops and record reviews, and observe the Board meeting. If you are there Saturday afternoon, you can actively participate in the Annual meeting.
